One of the biggest problems is religion’s MISUSE of the Law — this has done TREMENDOUS DAMAGE to the world’s IMAGE of God.
This DAMAGE has affected people's:
👉 Assessment of God
👉 Acceptance of God
👉 Approach to God
That damage is one of the major reasons JESUS (God in the flesh) came to the world... To fix what was damaged about God, earthly speaking.
📖John 1:18 AMP: No man has ever seen God at any time; the only unique Son, or the only begotten God, Who is in the bosom [in the intimate presence] of the Father, He has declared Him [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known].
You must understand that God's INTENTION for it was PURE. I mean, come to think of it, God, Who is a Good GOD, wouldn't give something that is evil, will He? NEVER!

📖Romans 7:12 Wherefore THE LAW is HOLY, and the commandment HOLY, and JUST, and GOOD.
The USEFULNESS of the Law was to reveal man's weakness and helplessness and point him to God's appointed Messiah (Jesus Christ) for HELP and STRENGTH.
This is Apostle Paul, speaking about the Love of GOD, said that Jesus died for us "while we were WITHOUT STRENGTH":
📖Romans 5:6 For when we were yet WITHOUT STRENGTH, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
🤷🏻♂ What strength?
Strength to keep the law; to meet God's standard of perfection; to do ALL His commandments; to help man in approach to God and life in general. Now, in the absence of this strength, the devil took advantage of it to come after mankind in destructive pursuance; with such a ferociousness that could be felt from miles away before its inevitable approach.
📖Lamentations 1:6 And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are GONE WITHOUT STRENGTH before the PURSUER (the devil).

Once again, don't forget the usefulness of the Law; it was intended to bring man to the end of himself so he can realise the need for a Savior (Jesus)

📖Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster TO BRING US UNTO CHRIST, that we might be justified by faith.
Did you notice he said "UNTO"?
That speaks of "DESTINATION".
So, the purpose of the Law was to be a VEHICLE 🚌 that brings (conveys) men to Christ. In other words, Christ was the final destination of the Law. Once a man meets with JESUS, his search is supposed to be over. Jesus is the end of all Search or Research.
Therefore, the PROPER USE of the Law drives us to God for mercy and not away from God in guilt and condemnation. And God's Mercy is communicated to us through Jesus Christ.
📖Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, EVEN AS GOD FOR CHRIST'S SAKE HATH FORGIVEN YOU.

So, to use the Law "lawfully" would simply mean to use it to POINT or LEAD people to JESUS. If that is not what a preacher is doing then am sorry, two things are involved:
1* He's either NOT from/of GOD or
2* He doesn't understand what he's doing.
When I see some pastors PREACH THE LAW with so much passion as if they were present when it was handed over to Moses, placing demands on the Body of Christ, the same demands that they themselves can't keep, the same demands that Jesus has already met and fulfilled, I conclude THEY LACK understanding (COMMON SENSE).
Before you get angry at me and declare my teachings "hate speech", I need you to read this 👇
📖1 Timothy 1:7 (Some ministers are) DESIRING to be TEACHERS OF THE LAW; UNDERSTANDING NEITHER what they say, NOR whereof they affirm.
(Emphasis added for proper enlightenment)

📜AMP: They are AMBITIOUS to be doctors of the Law (teachers of the Mosaic ritual), but THEY HAVE NO UNDERSTANDING either of the words and terms they use or of the subjects about which they make [such] dogmatic assertions.
🤷🏻♂ Have you ever asked yourself why Apostle Paul was so bent on demystifying the LAW? See why 👇
📖1 Tim 1:9 Knowing this, that THE LAW IS NOT MADE FOR A RIGHTEOUS MAN..."
🤷🏻♂ And do you know WHO you are right now in Christ Jesus? You are "The Righteousness Of God"! 👇
📖2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that WE might be MADE the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM (Christ).
Now brethren, it is imperative for you to understand that once we come to Jesus and receive salvation as a gift (📖Rom 6:23), we are NO LONGER under the Law but under grace.
📖Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for (because) ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Notice something here:
🔱"sin shall not"
🔱"because you are not"
In other words, the only reason sin cannot lord itself over you it's because you are no longer under it's regime. You are under the government of Grace. And that Grace is JESUS! QED!
Moreover, it would interest you to know that God ALWAYS wanted to RELATE to us BY GRACE, but He couldn’t just look the other way and ignore sin.
The DEBT FOR SIN had to be paid—that’s why Jesus came and suffered all of God’s wrath against the sin of mankind.
📖John 12:32 And I (Christ), if I be lifted up from the earth (on the Cross), will draw (absorb) all men (men's sins and consequences) unto me.
Those who receive God’s grace by accepting salvation as a gift by faith in Jesus no longer have wrath against them.
📖1 Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even JESUS, WHICH DELIVERED US FROM THE WRATH TO COME.
