How to Confess Your Sins to God - inspirational gospel quotes

How To Confess Your Sins To God

πŸ“–1 John 1:9 NKJ

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This is the only verse under the New Covenant that mentions confession of sins to God. Sadly and unfortunately, it is one of the most misunderstood and misappropriated verse of the scriptures.

You know, when a "spiritual babe" handles scriptures they create a RELIGION out of it thereby making it (the scriptures) of NONE EFFECT through their IGNORANT MINDS which is mostly rooted in TRADITIONALISM.

This is why Apostle Paul said to... *"STUDY to show yourselves approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING the word of truth."* (πŸ“–2 Tim 2:15)

Let's consider πŸ“–1 John 1:9 meticulously this time:

The meaning of the word here translated *"CONFESS"* means *"TO SAY THE SAME THING AS ANOTHER, i.e. TO AGREE WITH."*

So REPLACING the word "CONFESS" in the verse with its meaning, gives us this:

πŸ“–1 John 1:9

*IF WE (SAY THE SAME THING AS GOD [HAS SAID] ABOUT) OUR SINS, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.*

So let's see what God has said about our sins under the New Covenant, so we can say the same thing as He has said about them:

1️⃣ πŸ‘‡

πŸ“–Hebrews 8:12 NKJ

*"For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."*

2️⃣ πŸ‘‡

πŸ“–1 John  2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. *And IF ANY MAN SIN, WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE with the Father, JESUS CHRIST the righteous.*

3️⃣ πŸ‘‡

πŸ“–Hebrews 10:16-17 NKJ

"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," 17 *then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."*

Since God says He does not remember our sins, is it polite or wise to keep bringing them up to Him?

I believe we all have brains; it's high time we properly used them. Even if you don't have sound education but at least you have common sense. And even if common sense fails you have the Holy Ghost. So, be led by the Spirit, my beloved.

Please I beg you IN JESUS NAME, *don't be a RELIGIOUS IGNORAMUS*... Religion is a virus; ignorance is a curse.

My spiritual father  *APOSTLE VICTOR JAMES* said and I quote: "There is no such thing as 'I don't agree with the scriptures';  you either believe or you don't."

Now let me show you something that my spiritual father  *APOSTLE VICTOR JAMES* taught me that brought true liberty to my heart and mind:

πŸ“–1 John 2:12 NKJ

I write to you, little children, Because *your sins are forgiven you FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE.*

So, your sins are not actually forgiven you because you confessed them neither were they forgiven you because you made up your mind to forsake them according to your "will power". NO!

Your sins are forgiven you for the sake of JESUS' NAME. So all you have to do (at any given time when you miscalculate) is to simply say *JESUS*!

Look, I dare to say that *even in the midst of your miscalculation keep saying πŸ‘‰ JESUS JESUS JESUS*

At that point your

πŸ‘‰ slate of misdeeds or

πŸ‘‰ board of mistakes or

πŸ‘‰ lists of miscalculations

will be wiped completely clean, leaving absolutely no traces of them behind for condemnation or judgment. πŸ“–John 5:24

You see, in the New Testament God does whatever He does *#BecauseOfJESUS*... It really has nothing to do with us. The earlier you know this the better for your Christian walk of faith.  πŸ“–John 16:27

 Quick Question:

*Are you IN Christ*  ?

If your answer is in the affirmative (YES) then let me show you *WHAT YOU HAVE IN HIM*

πŸ“–Ephesians 1:7 NKJ

*IN HIM (Jesus Christ) WE HAVE REDEMPTION through His blood, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, according to the riches of His grace.*

The Holy Spirit in this verse says *WE HAVE* the forgiveness of sins. *There is no need to ask for something you already have.* Glory

πŸ“ *Doing so (asking for forgiveness) is disrespectful to the One (Abba Father) Who has given you forgiveness.*

πŸ“–Colossians 2:13 NKJ

And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, *HAVING FORGIVEN YOU ALL TRESPASSES*

WOW Did you see that?

🎯 *There is no trespass that needed to be forgiven that wasn't fully forgiven.*

🎯 *There is no trespass that needed to be purged that hasn't been purged forever.*

🎯 *There is no trespass left for God to forgive.... ALL have been taken care of and taken away for good.*

🎯 *There is no trespass that can come between you and God anymore.*

🎯 *There is no trespass that can alter (change) the mind of God concerning you.*

Why is it so difficult for some people (sadly most so called "Christians") to understand these things, as simple and easy as they are?

It's because πŸ‘‡

πŸ“–2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Now let me show something extremely remarkable πŸ‘‡

πŸ“–2 Corinthians 5:19 NKJ

*That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, NOT IMPUTING (counting) THEIR TRESPASSES TO (against) THEM, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.*

God reconciled the world to Himself in Christ and *HE IS NO LONGER HOLDING OUR SINS AGAINST US* (which is what IMPUTING means).

*IN CHRIST, God extended COMPLETE AND TOTAL FORGIVENESS for all the world.* He is not holding the sins of anyone against them.

For God to do so would be unjust, BECAUSE JESUS ALREADY SUFFERED THE PENALTY FOR ALL SIN.

πŸ“–Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and *the LORD (Abba Father) hath laid on Him (Jesus Christ) the iniquity of us all.*

Yet *WE MUST RECEIVE* God's forgiveness for it to BENEFIT us. God did His part, now *WE MUST RESPOND IN FAITH* and be reconciled to God.

πŸ“–2 Corinthians 5:20-21 NKJ

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though *GOD were PLEADING THROUGH US: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.*

πŸ“œ 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, *THAT WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM.*

For us to beg God for forgiveness is RUDE. God already said He has forgiven. *Now it is up to us to BELIEVE and ACCEPT His forgiveness.*

(Showing remorse for our sin is NOT wrong. REMORSE is what many people think of as REPENTANCE, but actually repentance means *A CHANGE IN THINKING WHICH RESULTS IN A CHANGE OF ACTION.* Remorse is NOT REQUIRED for true Biblical repentance.)

NOW... using the definition of what the word confess means, here is one example of a correct way to confess sin:

πŸ—£️ *"Lord Jesus, what I did was wrong. Thank You for already paying the price for that mistake on the cross. Thank You for loving me and suffering the punishment so I can go free. Thank You Abba Father that I have been forgiven and cleansed by the blood of Christ. I trust you knowing that you are at work in me both to will and to do of all your good pleasure, IN JESUS NAME!*

Did you get that

This is the point where someone needs to come dust me as Bible dey Waka for my body anyhow

"Asking God to forgive you" IS NOT New Covenant confession of sin, BECAUSE God says you are already forgiven.

πŸ“ *Don't ask God to do something He (in His love, grace and mercy) has already done!*
