Let's do some imagination exercise, shall we?
💭 Imagine a MUSIC 🎶 BOOK 📖 with GREAT MUSIC is open on the piano rest.
Perhaps someone can read music, and just looking at it he knows it is full of intricate BEAUTY, MELODY and HARMONY. The PRINTED NOTES tell him that.
BUT he wants to enjoy it, have his spirit lifted by it. Knowing it is there and its wonderful doesn’t do anything for him.
HE MUST PLAY IT.
Then his ears, his senses, his MUSICAL RESPONSE makes the PRINTED NOTES 🎶 COME ALIVE. It is like meat and drink to him. 💭
Did you get that?
Now, THAT IS THE GOSPEL.
It is TRUTH and can be PRINTED and LEARNED from a book or in church or a college.
But JUST BELIEVING it is true is like looking at a sheet of music.
It needs to be:
👉 PRACTICED
📜 James 1:22 But BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
It needs to be:
👉 LIVED
📜 2 Corinthians 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
It needs to be:
👉 TALKED ABOUT TO OTHERS
📜 Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
It is ONLY THEN that its "music" comes into our soul.
The GOSPEL is GOOD NEWS – IF it is PUBLISHED.
📖Psalms 68:11 The Lord gave THE WORD: great was the company of those that PUBLISHED it.
📝 What ISN’T published CAN’T be news. ✏
If WE HAVE good news, WE MUST TELL it.
And WE HAVE! 💯%
📖2 Corinthians 5:18
📜 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and HATH GIVEN TO US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION;
📜 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and HATH COMMITTED UNTO US THE WORD OF RECONCILIATION.
