📖Psalms 27:1 The LORD is MY light and MY salvation; WHOM SHALL I FEAR? the LORD is the strength of MY life; OF WHOM SHALL I BE AFRAID?
💡LIGHT is very important. Its importance cannot be underestimated neither can it be overestimated. 💡
👉 We can’t see without light.
👉 We can’t see where we are going.
👉 We can’t see what is coming at us.
👉 We can’t see ourselves or others without light.
📝 Only in Jesus can we truly see.
He (JESUS) is the LIGHT of the world.
📖John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
And when we are truly following and trusting IN Jesus, we aren’t afraid of people or what they can do to us.
We lose the sense of fear and cowardice. We come into a realm where we cease to be VICTIMS because we know we are VICTORS.
📖1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
The PRESENCE of the Lord Jesus Christ with us is our guarantee... It is our stand against fear of the insult and assault of people.
What He (Jesus) has SAID (His Eternal Word) is our assurance of security both in time and in eternity.
Our fearlessness is hinged on His Word because His Word is all the wisdom we would ever need to escape the vicissitudes of life.
📖Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: FOR HE HATH SAID, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 13:6 SO THAT WE MAY BOLDLY SAY, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
So you see, our boldness or fearlessness is NOT baseless. It's founded upon BETTER PROMISES.
📖Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a MORE EXCELLENT MINISTRY, by how much also he is the mediator of a BETTER COVENANT, which was established upon BETTER PROMISES.
